I wanna know two things:

#1 WHO thought of this?

So I was so excited about my purple flower arrangement last week that I attempted another!  I’m not sure how I feel about this one.. I think there’s a bit much going on here.  However, I do think that certain bits and pieces of this one have potential.

For example, the grapes in the vase are great!  I think they really add a third color to the mix that I think is awesome and it brightens it up a bit more.  I do think, though, that the grapes would be better served in a smaller vase where they kind of take over the water.

The limes are my fav.  I feel like if this whole thing was just limes, tulips and green leaves, it would be killer but that in combination with the grapes goes a bit overboard.

Here’s a picture without the limes.  I almost like the grapes here!  They aren’t being overtaken by the limeys!

There ya have it!

What do you think?

I found a great deal at the grocery store!

So I went wild with creativity!  I’ve always wanted to make one of those arrangements with leaves around the inside of the vase….

So I attempted floral mastery!

Here’s what I did:

So I cute the tulips off the stems

I pulled the leaves off the stem

And I cut the yucky part off

And I placed them on top of eachother like so...

Next I curled the leaves and placed them in the vase with water inside

Then I started adding the flowers!

There they are!

Pretty Funny?

So this isn’t Pretty OR Delicious… but I feel like it was blog worthy.  I found this on Pinterest and I just thought it was so funny!  I honestly thought that I was the only one in the world that this happened to!  So I had to share in case there were any other people out there who too-  thought this only happened to them.  You are not alone, my dear readers… you are not alone…

Am I right?!?!

So these little fold-up water bottles are a great for traveling!  You fill it up in the morning and clip it onto your travel bag so that you don’t need to carry it all over the world all day long (and it doesn’t need to get warm because you are holding it for hours at a time!).  The very best part about it is that when you are hydrated and have emptied your bottle, you just fold it up and stick it in your bag or back pocket and it’s ready to be refilled at any water fountain!  It really is one of those things where you use it and wonder “…now why didn’t I think of that?”

They can be found here:  Vapur water bottles

Don’t throw away those Christmas cards yet!!  Here is a wonderful idea that includes saving the environment, getting another use out of those Christmas cards without sending them to a landfill AND best of all, you are helping the kids of St. Jude!  Check out this link!

Lovely Christmas Cards that St. Jude will love!

They suggest shipping your cards through the USPS Flat Rate Boxes that hold up to 70 lbs because it is the cheapest way to do it.  Don’t have that many friends?  Me neither- I only have about .5 lbs worth!  But you can ask your kids to go around your neighborhood collecting card-donations and collect some cards from your friends as well!  You’ll have a big pile in no-time!  I may even send my wedding cards to St. Jude once I get all my thank yous out!

It’s a great way to give back!

I often cook with the assistance of my iPhone because I’ll need a recipe that I have found online.  Well this time, my washed kale leaked onto the counter where my little iPhone was sitting.  It starts repeatedly blinking notifications at me saying that “this device is not supported by the iPhone”… “well, what device are you referring to, little guy?”  Apparently it just didn’t know what to do with itself.  I picked it up and it was sitting in a sizable puddle of water.  Rut-roe….

So I delve into the depths of my mind and remember that I was told once that you should put your phone in a bag of rice to dry it out.

Drying as we speak

Well, whoever told me that was correct!  This little tid-bit of information can save your phone as it did mine!  After I took the phone out of the rice a few hours later, it had no more notifications blinking at me and was seemingly back to normal.  I think this is a PRETTY good bit of information to tuck into your memory!
